Makwa Development, an established construction and excavation company is seeking to hire a licensed AZ driver with 3+ years of experience. Job Title: AZ Driver Reports to: President Job Location: Saugeen/Neyaashiinigmiing Start Date: TBD Job Type: Full-time Hours/Week: 40 hours/week Wage: $30.00 - $40.00/ hour (depending on experience and qualifications) Responsibilities & Duties: - Operate tractor trailers, floats and dump trucks for transporting goods, heavy equipment, or materials. - Complete daily inspection reports, logbooks, and shipping documents to comply with MTO and CVOR regulations. - Operate trucks and heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner. - Maintain all required professional licenses and certificates, such as, but not limited to, AZ license. - Secure loads and heavy equipment on trailers to meet transport needs. - Perform general labour duties including site cleanup, material handling, trenching, grading, and assisting skilled trades - Support daily construction activities by preparing work areas, setting up equipment, and ensuring materials are available - Follow project plans, instructions, and safety protocols to complete tasks accurately and on schedule - Conduct routine inspections of equipment before and after use to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns - Assist with excavation, grading, demolition, concrete work, and utility installation - Load and unload materials, tools, and supplies. - All other duties as assigned. Qualifications/Skills: - AZ Licensed - 3+ years of experience - Up to date drivers abstract - Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn and take direction - Understanding of job safety and basic building code requirements Working and Physical Demands: - Ability to sit for long periods of time - Ability to lift heavy objects - Knowledge of construction Asset - Equipment Operating Experience - Supervisor Experience - Any relevant qualifications You can expect - Health Spending Account (following 3 month probationary period) - Annual performance reviews - Company clothing - Clean and safe work environment - Teamwork
